In response to the National Security Education Day on April 15, the Government Flying Service (GFS) will hold an open day on April 13 (Sunday) in GFS Kai Tak Division (KTD). Various events will be held on the open day, including Chinese-style foot drill, Search and Rescue Flight Demonstration, displays of equipment, virtual reality experience and game booths. Through these activities, we aim at raising public awareness of national security, deepening the public's understanding of services as well as work and achievements in safeguarding national security.

Each participant shall have one ticket for admission (tickets are not required for children aged five or below).
Participants aged below 12 must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18 or above) who has a valid admission ticket.
Online pre-registration is required. Each applicant may request a maximum of three admission tickets. The online registration system on GFS's website for admission tickets will accept applications from 9:00 a.m. on 2 April 2025 to 11:59pm on 3 April 2025.

Admission tickets are limited and will be allocated by computer balloting. Each successful applicant will receive admission tickets (with QR code) via email on or before 8 April 2025.
When applicants provide their personal information for registration, they are deemed to agree to the use of their personal information by GFS for the purposes relating to the event.
Admission tickets shall not be resold for commercial packages or at a premium, nor may it be packaged or used for advertising, promotional or other commercial purposes.
If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above / Black or Red Rainstorm Warning is still in effect or the Hong Kong Observatory issues Pre-No. 8 special announcement at 6:00 a.m. or after on the event day, the Open Day will be cancelled and the cancellation will be announced through GFS website.
If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 or 3 / Amber Rainstorm Warning is still in effect 6:00 a.m. or after on the event day, the Open Day will continue as scheduled, all indoor programmes will continue while all outdoor programmes, including flying performances will be cancelled.
If the event is affected by adverse weather conditions, the GFS may update the event arrangements in a timely manner, such as postponing or cancelling the open day. Please pay attention to the latest announcements on the GFS website.
How to get to the GFS Kai Tak Division (KTD)?
Shuttle Bus service will be provided between Kowloon Bay MTR station Exit A (Telford Plaza Phase II Podium) and GFS KTD. Please note the following:
For public transport, please take green minibus no. 86 to Cruise Terminal (5-minute walk from GFS KTD after getting off) or bus no. 22, 22M to Cruise Terminal (about 10-minute walk from GFS KTD after getting off).
No parking for participants. Participants are encouraged to use shuttle bus service or public transport
The "National Security Education Day - Government Flying Service Open Day" will be held from 10:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. (Session 1) and 2:30p.m. to 4:30p.m. (Session 2) on 13 April 2025 (Saturday).

When entering the GFS KTD, participants must bring along with him/her a valid admission ticket and proof of identity. Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18 or above) who has a valid admission ticket;
One adult can accompany a maximum of 2 participants under the age of 12.
The admission ticket (QR code) must be used by the registered applicant and their companions and the session cannot be changed.
The event location does not have any restaurant, only water stations will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bottles to refill drinking water.
Parking spaces are not available at GFS KTD. Participants are advised to use shuttle bus service or public transport.
There is no age limit, but to ensure safety, some activities may have age or height restrictions. Participants should understand the risks and physical demands of the activities. The staff of the event have the rights to prohibit the participants from participating particular activities based on their physical condition for safety reason.
